'How are you? No, really. How are you? We ask each other this question everyday and the answer, nine times out of ten, is always the same: 'Fine, thanks.' This Mental Health Awareness Month join Oxford Writers' House and award-winning mental health campaigner Jonny Benjamin MBE for a night talking about the realities of mental health in this thought-provoking talk and Q&A session at Waterstones. In 2014, Jonny launched the Find 'Mike' social media campaign to attempt to locate the man who had talked him out of committing suicide on Waterloo Bridge. Jonny will speak about his 2018 book Stranger on the Bridge, his personal account of this inspiring story, along with his experience of living with mental health challenges. Due to the popularity of this event it will now be ticketed. We have decided to charge a small amount of £3 as we've found a small fee encourages audiences to either attend or cancel their ticket, reducing no shows and allowing as many interested people as possible to attend. If this fee will be a barrier to you attending please email us at events@oxfordwritershouse.com
