Oxford Writers' HouseMentors

Mentors

Looking for writing help? Need a professional writer to guide you through a creative writing project? Need help with an essay or university application?

Oxford Writers' House writing mentors are exceptionally qualified, talented writers, with a proven history of teaching and academic excellence. They are expert academics and professional writers specializing in a whole range of subjects, across the humanities and sciences. Their job is to help you write.

Students meet with mentors in their offices, in coffee shops, in homes, or in places of study across the city. Some of our mentors teach within the University of Oxford framework, as lecturers, graduates, and research specialists. They work alongside you as creative guides — and help you to meet your academic, creative, and literary goals.

Oxford Writer’s House facilitates an integral relationship between writer and city, between the universities and Oxford itself. This means not only promoting the literary arts around town but also striving to improve literacy within the community. As part of the commitment, we aim to balance private tuition with volunteer and outreach work.
